Hagerty Pushes Senate Vote on CLARITY Act Amidst Regulatory Delays

Share

Senator Bill Hagerty is pushing for a Senate vote on the CLARITY Act, which aims to establish clearer rules for digital assets. He believes that delaying legislation could leave the US behind in financial technology.

In an interview with Fox Business' Mornings with Maria, Hagerty stated, 'We are going to have to pass the act. There's no way we can allow the United States to fall behind on everything digital.'

The bill has been delayed due to ongoing disagreements over ethics provisions and a White House review of a bipartisan proposal.

Hagerty wants to bring the legislation to the Senate floor for a public vote, which he believes would show where members stand on crypto regulation and determine whether bipartisan support exists.
