Hanwha Completes Token-Securities Platform Ahead of South Korea's Blockchain Framework
Hanwha Investment & Securities has reportedly completed a token-securities platform that can operate with Avalanche and Hyperledger Besu. This development comes as South Korea prepares to introduce a regulated framework for blockchain-recorded securities.
The Seoul Economic Daily reported that Hanwha began developing the platform in 2025, with FairSquare Lab leading the project. However, Hanwha has not publicly confirmed the platform's completion or launch details.
The development aligns with South Korea's three-stage roadmap for tokenizing conventional securities. The first stage, set to begin on February 4, 2027, will focus on limited categories of funds, bonds, unlisted shares, and fractional-investment securities.
