HashCow Publishes Unusual Smart Contract Audit Findings

Share

HashCow, a Web3 game studio and provable-fairness infrastructure company, has published two rounds of smart contract audits conducted by SolidProof. The audits cover all six of HashCow's contracts, with twenty-five findings remaining open.

The decision to publish the open findings is unusual in the industry, but it reflects HashCow's commitment to transparency and accountability. According to CoinGecko's 2026 State of Crypto Security Report, roughly 60% of crypto platforms exploited between January 2025 and July 2026 had already completed an independent security audit.

The report highlights that only around 11% of the incidents involved a flaw inside conventional audit scope. The rest came in through routes an audit was never pointed at, emphasizing the importance of understanding what is and isn't covered by an audit badge on a landing page.
