Hashdex Dumps Struggling Bitcoin ETF Amid $200M Fund Lineup
Hashdex has announced that it will shut down its Bitcoin ETF after struggling to gain assets. The fund, which trades under the NYSE Arca ticker DEFI and manages about $14.7 million in assets, will stop trading on August 17 before being delisted.
The company cited factors including assets under management, trading liquidity, operating costs, investor interest, and how the fund fit within its broader product lineup as reasons for liquidating the fund.
Hashdex continues to manage more than $200 million across investment products available to U.S. investors, despite this setback in the spot Bitcoin ETF market.
