HashKey Unifies Crypto Exchanges Across Key Jurisdictions
HashKey Holdings has merged its two crypto exchanges into one platform and application. The Hong Kong digital asset services business brought together regional exchange platforms in key jurisdictions, including Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai, and Bermuda.
The move marks a shift from the early days of the virtual asset industry, where licensed exchanges operated under regional siloed models to simplify compliance. HashKey said it has adopted a principle of 'unified entry, localized compliance', where users download a single application, while the platform manages compliance across local regulatory frameworks.
This results in a simplified front-end that allows access to systems compliant with local regulations. Unlike other platforms, such as OKX and Kraken, which have separate entities for different regions, HashKey's unified approach promises localized management of regulatory requirements.
