HashKey Unifies Regional Exchanges Under Single Platform
HashKey Holdings has merged its platforms into a unified exchange for users across several regions. The Hong Kong-based crypto firm, HashKey, announced it would integrate HashKey Exchange and HashKey Global into a single platform with localized regulatory compliance procedures for each region.
The new structure brings together users from Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai in the Middle East, and Bermuda on a single interface. However, each user's region will have its own tailored compliance procedures to fit the legal system of that area.
HashKey described this approach as 'unified access, localized regulatory compliance.' This differs from the traditional method used by many exchanges, which operate separate licensed platforms for different regions.
Other crypto exchanges like OKX and Kraken have adopted similar structures. OKX splits its users among various operators depending on their location and has licensed entities in several countries. Kraken integrated Dutch broker BCM into its platform and provides services to the European Economic Area through its Irish MiCA entity.
