Hayes 'Oxygen-Maxxing' for Next Crypto Bull Market

BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes is reportedly 'oxygen-maxxing' to prepare for the next crypto bull market. The term, which seems to be a joke, refers to getting one's body ready for a significant increase in activity. This comes as Bitcoin shows tentative signs of strength after months of volatile trading, with its price hovering around $64,200.

Hayes has repeatedly argued that expanding global liquidity will push Bitcoin higher. In an earlier interview, he predicted that the cryptocurrency could reach around $125,000 by the end of 2026, citing U.S. fiscal spending and bank credit creation as potential catalysts.

However, Hayes also warned that the artificial intelligence investment boom has absorbed enormous amounts of capital that might otherwise have flowed into crypto, suggesting that Bitcoin's definitive cycle bottom may not arrive until an eventual AI unwind triggers a broader risk-asset selloff.
