Hayes Sets $10,000 ETH Target as Maelstrom's Crypto Positioning Remains Unchanged
Arthur Hayes, chief investment officer of Maelstrom, has reaffirmed his family office's structural Bitcoin (BTC) long position. In a recent newsletter, he also set a price target for Ether (ETH) of $10,000 by the end of 2026.
Hayes' comments came in a macro-focused essay on euro-yen dynamics, where he touched on factors such as French bank stress and Bank of Japan policy. He tied these to his broader claim that the Federal Reserve's buyback playbook will boost dollar liquidity.
The BitMEX co-founder also set targets for two other altcoins: Ethena (ENA) at $0.50 by year-end, and Ether.fi (ETHFI) at $2. Hayes' ETH target is roughly 320% above the current price of around $2,379 per token.
Hayes has been an active buyer of ETHFI this year, having repurchased shares in August after initially exiting the position earlier in 2026.
