HBAR Price Drops 2% Amid Unverified USDOT Integration Claims

HBAR's price slipped 2% as a rumoured integration with the US Department of Transportation (USDOT) failed to materialize.

The claim, which went viral on social media, suggested that USDOT would adopt Hedera after it was mentioned in a patent application. However, this has not been confirmed by either party.

The patent, US20250378436A1, proposes a nationwide system for paying taxes while traveling, and mentions Hedera as one technology that could facilitate payments. But this does not mean that USDOT has chosen or deployed the network.

HBAR's price currently sits at $0.08014, having reached an intraday high of $0.08293 before falling back down. The token remains below resistance between $0.082 and $0.085, making a stronger recovery towards $0.09 less likely without confirmation or news from official sources.
