HBAR's Institutional Lifeline: Can It Hold Against Bearish Market Tides?

Hedera's price action is being closely watched as it tests whether institutional demand can keep its value floor intact.

The altcoin has seen significant institutional positioning, with over $3 million in net ETF inflows in July, making it the strongest monthly inflow since May. Despite this, HBAR still managed to limit downside despite closing the month in the red.

Comparing Hedera to Solana shows a key divergence: despite SOL attracting strong institutional demand with $14 million in net ETF inflows in July, the token still ended the month down over 1.7%, underperforming HBAR's 0.94% decline.

The broader market remains in a risk-off phase, but if altcoin rotation returns, HBAR could benefit from the momentum built during July, when the ETH/BTC pair closed the month up 10.5%. However, with ETF demand turning net zero so far in August, the key question now is whether Hedera can capitalize on this shift.
