Hedera's Insurance Partnership Sparks HBAR Price Surge
Hedera, the creator of the HBAR token, has just gained a major partner in its quest to revolutionize the insurance industry. The Institutes' RiskStream Collaborative has joined the Hedera Council as a strategic partner, expanding Hedera's role in property insurance technology.
RiskStream represents more than 30 carriers, brokers, and reinsurers, operating in an industry that wrote over $1.1 trillion in direct written premium in 2025.
The partnership builds on RiskStream's existing work with Hashgraph to tokenize property risk data across Hedera and HashSphere.
Insurance tokenization could expand beyond property, as RiskStream's framework isn't limited to buildings, the same asset tokenization model could be reused for other insurable assets like auto, aerospace, and surety bonds.
