Hedge Fund Cyberattacks Fail to Disrupt Crypto Markets
Cyberattacks on major Wall Street hedge funds have not had a significant impact on cryptocurrency markets, which remain steady.
The attacks, which targeted firms such as Point72 Asset Management and Citadel, used voice phishing to manipulate employees into giving up their credentials or accessing internal systems.
Despite the incidents, Bitcoin (BTC) has held its ground at around $64,500, a minor gain of 1% in the last week, while Ether (ETH) was around $1,900 with a marginal drop of 0.5%
The total market size of cryptocurrencies remains around $2.3 trillion, and investors seem to be treating the incidents as operational issues rather than a potential threat to the market.
