Helium Price Surges 33% as Texas City Partnerships Fuel Growth
Helium's decentralized wireless infrastructure has been expanding rapidly, particularly in Texas. One of the most significant developments is its partnership with the city of Celina to connect its existing municipal Wi-Fi network to Helium's network for carrier offload.
This move has led to a surge in Helium's (HNT) price, increasing by 33% from around $0.25 on August 28 to over $0.70 during the rally. The trading volume also skyrocketed, with daily volumes reaching $230 million on August 31, compared to just $4 million on August 28.
The expansion of Helium's network is expected to continue, with other municipalities already using its infrastructure. This includes Redondo Beach, New Orleans, and Sausalito, which have plugged coverage gaps in their respective areas.
