Helium Token Soars 170%, Leaving Late Buyers Worrying If It's Too Late
Helium's HNT token surged by nearly 170% in one weekend, reaching an intra-day high of $0.989 as of this writing. The rally was driven by forced selling rather than new buyers entering the market.
The price spike can be attributed to a Texas Wi-Fi deployment reported on Saturday, which triggered a reaction that dwarfed the news itself. Helium's pitch has always been centered around real customers using its decentralized physical infrastructure, or DePIN.
A key factor contributing to the rally was the settlement of SEC charges by Nova Labs in April 2025 for wrongly claiming companies like Lime, Nestle, and Salesforce used the network. The case involved statements made to stock investors, not the token itself.
