Hey Rewards Users with Decentralized Stablecoin GHO Through Active Hey Points Program
Hey is a blockchain-based social app on the Lens Chain mainnet that rewards users for creating and engaging with content through its Hey Points (HP) system. Unlike traditional platforms, Hey uses decentralized stablecoin GHO for interactions, which are sent directly to creators via the Social Payment System.
With over 1,000 users already rewarded retroactively, the HP program is still active and allows anyone with a Hey account to earn points by posting, commenting, reposting, or quoting others' content. These actions require GHO for paid social actions and gas on Lens Chain, but posting itself doesn't need it.
Ultra membership, which costs 14.99 GHO (~$15) per year, unlocks the referral program, allowing users to earn 5 HP each time someone signs up through their unique link and completes a paid action. However, this comes with risks, including no confirmed token launch date or allocation structure.
As Hey works toward tokenization, it plans to use half of its GHO revenue for liquidity, buybacks, and creator distributions. If a token does launch, HP and leaderboard standing are likely inputs for distribution. Users should be cautious about spending real money on paid actions or Ultra membership, as there's no guarantee of future rewards.
