HIVE Defies Odds with Record-Breaking $350 Million AI Deal
Frank Holmes of HIVE has announced that his company secured its largest AI deal on record, beating out traditional hyperscalers in the process. The $350 million contract with BUZZ HPC was won due to HIVE's track record and relationships with key players in the industry.
Hyperscalers, which include companies like Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure, have traditionally dominated the AI infrastructure market. However, HIVE's years of experience running large-scale mining operations has given them a unique edge when it comes to uptime and reliability.
The deal also marks a significant shift in the way that companies are financing their AI infrastructure. BlackRock and Goldman Sachs are now lending against graphics processing units (GPUs), which have historically been seen as waste assets but are actually bankable collateral.
