HIVE Lands $350 Million AI Cloud Contract at Merritt Data Centre
HIVE Digital Technologies has secured a major contract for its BUZZ High Performance Computing (HPC) subsidiary, worth around $350 million over five years. The deal will see HIVE build a dedicated cluster of 2,016 NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra GPUs at its Merritt data centre in British Columbia.
The contract is the second large GPU cluster agreement HIVE has signed in two months and adds about $70 million in annualized revenue to BUZZ HPC's total. The company's president and CEO, Aydin Kilic, said HIVE is 'pleased to announce this agreement as we accelerate towards our year-end target of $200 million of ARR for our GPU cloud business.'
The Merritt facility has become central to HIVE's shift from bitcoin mining to AI cloud services. In June 2026, BUZZ HPC signed a three-year, $220-million sovereign AI cloud contract at the same site.
