HKD Stablecoin Rollout Bolstered by Standard Chartered; AlphaPepe Unveils Live AI-Powered DEX
Standard Chartered has started rolling out its Hong Kong dollar (HKD) stablecoin, which can strengthen digital payments by connecting regulated banking institutions with blockchain settlement and liquidity. The product may support cross-border transfers, tokenized assets, corporate treasury activity, and expanding Asian digital-finance markets.
The HKD stablecoin is backed by Standard Chartered's banking infrastructure, providing a familiar foundation around custody, compliance, reporting, and settlement. This can give businesses and individuals a digital payment asset connected with Hong Kong's financial system.
Meanwhile, AlphaPepe has shown off its live AI-powered decentralized exchange (DEX) before listing. The platform provides multichain risk intelligence, plain-English guidance, and route-tested decentralized execution to retail users.
