Hong Kong Unveils Tokenized Securities Framework with Chainlink
A new tokenized securities framework has been launched in Hong Kong, aiming to bring the city's capital markets onchain. The Tokenized Securities Framework (TSF), developed by FORMS HK and Chainlink among others, provides a standard for issuance, distribution, and settlement of tokenized securities.
The TSF covers the full lifecycle of a tokenized security, including structuring, secondary market operations, and compliance. It is built on top of the ERC-3643 permissioned token standard, which embeds compliance controls at the asset layer itself.
The framework has already been tested in a real-world scenario under the HKMA e-HKD+ program, where it enabled an exchange between ANZ Bank's A$DC stablecoin and the e-HKD+ pilot CBDC.
