HOOD Price Pullback Seen as Opportunity Before Next Leg Up
The price of HOOD has cooled down to $102.44 after a post-earnings rally, but analysts believe this dip is a sign that the tokenized stock is preparing for another leg up.
This recent pullback from its January high of around $113 is not a fundamental breakdown, according to Zach Anderson, but rather market rotation and profit-taking after the August spike. The underlying business hasn't changed, with Robinhood delivering one of the cleanest earnings beats on Wall Street this cycle in Q2 2026.
The company's revenue mix shift is also being taken into account, as prediction markets and event contracts generated $156 million in Q2 transaction revenue - up over 10x year-over-year - while crypto trading revenue fell 38% to $100 million. This inversion is massive, with Robinhood structurally diversifying away from pure crypto-beta exposure.
Morgan Stanley's recent upgrade of HOOD to $150 and Bernstein's hold at $160 create a powerful gravitational pull for the underlying equity. The 60/40 probability of a base formation at $100-$103 followed by a move toward $115-$120 within 4-6 weeks is also being considered.
