Share

Retail trading platform Robinhood Markets Inc., ticker symbol HOOD, has seen its stock price rise by 13.07% as of August 21st, driven in part by regulatory approval for new crypto trading features and a growing global presence.

Goldman Sachs has lifted its HOOD price target to $123 from $118 with a Buy rating, while FactSet shows an average target around $124.73, indicating continued upside expectations.

The company's plans to speed up the launch of publicly traded closed-end funds that offer retail traders exposure to private companies have also contributed to the stock's increase, with HOOD jumping roughly 4.4%, 4.6% on this news.

RVII, a business development company affiliated with Robinhood Ventures Fund II, has priced an 8 million share IPO at $25, aiming for a fund size of around $225.5M to $255.5M, with a focus on early-stage startups and Y Combinator-linked companies.

Robinhood's crypto trading is also expanding globally, with the rollout of crypto trading features to eligible UK clients via Bitstamp UK as the FCA-registered provider, leading to a modest increase in shares.
