HOOD Trims Crypto Revenue Forecast by Nearly Half
Roger that, HOOD is trimming its crypto revenue forecast by nearly half to around $5.3 billion for 2026. This comes on the heels of a revised earnings per share (EPS) target for 2028 at $4.56.
However, things are looking up for Robinhood's blockchain-based platform, which has seen its total value locked (TVL) exceed $400 million and is nearing $200 billion in annual decentralized exchange (DEX) volume on Arbitrum.
In a separate incident, HOOD CEO Vlad Tenev had his X account hacked in late July. The attackers used this access to create posts promoting a memecoin called VLAD, which saw thousands of holders and over $22 million in trading volume before price spikes led to the draining of around 650-690 ETH (valued at approximately $1.2, $1.3 million).
ARK Invest's Cathie Wood has also been selling HOOD shares - specifically, the ARKK fund shed 85,969 shares and the ARKW fund sold 11,356 shares on July 22.
