Hoskinson Admits Cardano Needs a Strategy Shift as ADA Token Struggles

Cardano's ADA token has been struggling to gain traction in recent months, with its price hovering at $0.1566, down 1.57% in the last 24 hours and a whopping 95% below its all-time high of $3.09 set in September 2021.

Despite this poor performance, Cardano's founder Charles Hoskinson remains optimistic about the project's future, saying 'I still do believe our best days are ahead of us... We just have to change the approach, and we just have to change the strategy.'

Hoskinson's admission that something needs to change comes as ADA has shed 53% this year alone, compounded by the cancellation of the 2026 Cardano Summit and ongoing governance disputes that have visibly rattled builder confidence.

The macro backdrop is also not helping, with altcoins broadly remaining in risk-off territory. The technical structure of ADA offers little near-term comfort, making the current setup worth examining closely before any catalyst thesis gets priced in.
