Hoskinson: Bitcoin's Governance Is Its Biggest Vulnerability, Not Quantum Computing
Cardano's Charles Hoskinson has sparked debate in the crypto community by claiming that Bitcoin's 'frozen' governance is its biggest vulnerability. In a statement, Hoskinson emphasized that while quantum computing itself may not pose an immediate threat to Bitcoin, the network's outdated governance model makes it challenging for the protocol to adapt and upgrade.
Hoskinson contrasted this with Cardano's on-chain voting system, which he believes allows for timely migrations to more secure cryptography. He also confirmed that the upcoming Cardano upgrade aims to increase the network's speed by 60 times, making it a significant improvement over existing systems.
However, analyst More Crypto Online has cautioned against reading too much into the upgrade, stating that it is 'neutral' for ADA price action and does not guarantee immediate adoption or price growth. Instead, he suggests that a break above $0.20 would be necessary to confirm a sustainable recovery for Cardano's price.
