Hoskinson Doubts BIP-361 Can Save Bitcoin from Quantum Threat
Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson has expressed doubts about the potential success of a proposed Bitcoin Improvement Proposal (BIP-361) aimed at mitigating the risks associated with quantum computer attacks on the network.
The proposal, which aims to freeze Bitcoins not moved to quantum-resistant addresses, may save up to 34% of the total supply. However, Hoskinson believes that this will not be enough to recover the estimated 1.7 million vulnerable coins, including Satoshi Nakamoto's stash.
