Hoskinson Hunts Governance Fixes Amidst Cardano Funding Fiasco

Cardano's governance model is under review by its founder Charles Hoskinson as he seeks to overhaul how internal disputes are settled. The move comes amidst a tense funding fight over an Input Output Global treasury proposal, which is tracking towards defeat with only 12% of Delegated Representatives voting in favor.

Hoskinson has warned that if the proposal fails, IOG will not resubmit it and could lead to layoffs and shut some research labs. He is now considering registering as a DRep himself, which would give him a direct vote in Cardano's on-chain system.

The review of governance models across 11,000 decentralized autonomous organizations aims to introduce structural fixes rather than quick patches. Hoskinson has drawn on thousands of DAO models to shape amendments to how Cardano sets its roadmap and resolves executive-level disputes through its constitution.
