Hoskinson Sees Collaboration with Ethereum as Key to Cardano's Survival
Cardano's founder Charles Hoskinson has pushed back against criticism of his project, saying it will overcome current challenges and remain competitive in the blockchain space. The network has faced criticism due to ADA's sharp price decline and ongoing governance disputes affecting some ecosystem projects.
Hoskinson welcomed the idea of deep technical collaboration between Cardano and Ethereum, framing it as a purely technical matter that requires almost no setup. He estimates that a working integration could materialize within months if engineering teams from both sides sat down and worked toward shared goals.
The technical hook at the center of this proposed partnership is Cardano's UTXO-based architecture, which processes transactions and smart contracts differently from Ethereum's account-based model. Hoskinson wants Ethereum's developers to explore that UTXO framework directly, arguing it could offer efficiency benefits that Ethereum's current model doesn't provide.
