Hoskinson Warns Criticism Could Derail Cardano's Ecosystem Growth
Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson has issued a warning to the community and Cardano Foundation that criticism of Midnight, a major ecosystem project, could drive builders away from the platform.
Hoskinson made the remarks during a recent livestream titled 'Devs versus Builders,' where he addressed criticism surrounding Midnight's strategic changes. He emphasized that Cardano's purpose goes beyond serving as a smart-contract platform or facilitating ADA transactions, arguing that the network creates more value when developers use its infrastructure to build applications that attract real users and economic activity.
Hoskinson questioned why some community members appear resistant to Midnight despite its scale within the ecosystem. He urged the project to prioritize simplicity, universality, and low-cost operations, stating that technological improvements alone cannot overcome cultural challenges within an ecosystem.
