The Hyperliquid Policy Center and Multicoin Capital have jointly submitted comments to the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) regarding its proposed prediction market framework.

In a letter dated July 27th, they expressed support for the agency's proposal but also called for two key changes that could impact how on-chain event contracts are designed and approved.

The CFTC's plan aims to amend Regulation 40.11 and establish a 90-day review process for event contracts involving certain activities, such as gaming, war, or terrorism.

HPC and Multicoin argued that regulating prediction markets at the state level would create 'fifty separate state regimes' and fragment national derivatives markets.
