HPC and trade[XYZ] Push for Energy Perpetuals in US Markets
The Hyperliquid Policy Center (HPC) and trade[XYZ] have called on the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) to allow energy perpetual contracts to be traded in the US.
A joint letter was submitted to the CFTC, requesting that the agency create a regulated market for energy perpetuals tied to WTI crude, Brent crude, and Henry Hub natural gas.
HPC and trade[XYZ] argued that this would provide American oil and gas traders with a domestic venue to hedge their exposure around the clock, including nights and weekends when conventional futures are closed.
