HSBC: Global Crypto Allocation Steady Amid Rebalancing Among Affluents
HSBC's Affluent Investor Snapshot 2026 report reveals that cryptocurrency allocation among affluent and high net worth investors globally has decreased by one percentage point to six percent in 2026, down from seven percent in 2025.
The survey, conducted among 9,993 investors aged 21 to 69 between January 6 and February 6, 2026, found that cash and cash equivalents remain the largest single allocation at 19 percent, while equities stand at 16 percent, up two points from last year.
In Singapore, cryptocurrency allocation stands at five percent, unchanged from 2025. Sixty-seven percent of Singapore respondents are confident in achieving short-term goals, while 77 percent of Malaysian respondents share the same confidence.
