HSBC Survey: Affluent Investors Decrease Crypto Allocation But Plan to Buy More
A recent survey by HSBC found that affluent and high-net-worth investors have marginally decreased their allocation to cryptocurrencies in 2026.
The study, which surveyed 9,993 investors in 10 countries, discovered that cryptocurrency made up an average of 6% of investor portfolios, down from 7% in the previous year.
Despite this decrease, about 45% of respondents said they planned to increase their crypto allocation over the next 12 months, while 40% expected to leave it unchanged. Another 16% planned to reduce it or remained unsure.
