HTX Denies Address Poisoning Rumors Amid Compliance-Related Freezes
Justin Sun has dismissed reports that the HTX exchange was behind small crypto transfers to unrelated addresses. In a post on X, he wrote 'The investigation is clear: it's all made up.'
The claims arose after traders reported receiving unsolicited USDT transfers to their accounts. A trader known as 0xZiye said he received 7.5 USDT to his Coinbase account and attributed it to HTX.
However, Sun did not provide supporting details for his claim. He linked to an unspecified follow-up but did not name the accusers or explain what his team had investigated.
The concern among users was compliance-related, as HTX is being treated as a sanctioned counterparty in the UK and EU. This led to some freezes on withdrawals from HTX after May 26.
