HTX Denies Involvement in Address Poisoning as $4.2M in Funds Freeze on Kraken

HTX, a major crypto exchange, has denied involvement in a recent controversy surrounding small unsolicited USDT transfers that appeared to originate from wallets tagged as HTX addresses.

In a statement posted by HTX market representative Molly on X, the exchange said an internal review found no evidence that any of its official accounts were behind the reported address-poisoning activity.

The dispute unfolds against the backdrop of formal sanctions actions in two of the world's largest regulated jurisdictions. The UK and EU have imposed asset freezes and restrictions on transactions involving HTX (Huobi Global SA).
