The cryptocurrency community has reported an unusual wave of 'tainted' transactions allegedly originating from HTX, a crypto exchange currently under sanctions.

Users have been receiving small transfers in USDT, supposedly from wallets linked to HTX, which could lead to their addresses being frozen on other exchanges like Coinbase.

Liu Ye, the head of markets at HTX, acknowledged the situation and stated that the company is investigating the incident.

'We promptly held an internal meeting to discuss this issue. Officially, we absolutely do not tolerate such behavior, this is either a misunderstanding, or someone is deliberately trying to sow discord,' Ye said in a statement.
