HTX, FCA in Talks Over UK Crypto Promotion Allegations

Share

HTX and the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) have agreed to settle their differences over allegations that the crypto exchange illegally promoted its services to British consumers.

The High Court proceedings, which were paused in late June, will remain suspended until at least late August while negotiations continue.

HTX has faced significant regulatory pressure from both the UK and EU, with sanctions imposed due to alleged connections to Russia-related financial activity. The FCA initially accused HTX of breaching UK crypto promotion rules, which restrict how companies can market their services to consumers in the country.
