HTX Survives DDoS Attack, Users' Assets Safe
Cryptocurrency exchange HTX, formerly known as Huobi, recently suffered a distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack that temporarily disrupted its services. According to Tron founder Justin Sun, no user assets were compromised during the incident.
Sun confirmed on social media that HTX was targeted by a DDoS attack, which overwhelmed the platform with excessive traffic and caused temporary service disruption.
HTX's technical team worked quickly to mitigate the impact of the attack, and services have since been restored to normal operation. Sun emphasized that the exchange's security infrastructure remained intact throughout the incident.
The exchange has preserved relevant evidence and filed formal complaints with investigative authorities in the applicable jurisdiction, with Sun stating that HTX intends to hold the attackers accountable under the law and seek strict legal penalties.
