Hungary Repeals Crypto Transaction Validation Rule as CoinCash Secures First MiCA License
Hungary has taken a significant step forward in its crypto regulation by repealing the requirement for validating crypto transactions. This change coincides with CoinCash securing the country's first MiCA license, which is a major milestone for Hungary's crypto landscape.
The repeal of the validation rule removes a national barrier and positions MiCA licensing as the primary regulatory standard for crypto service providers in Hungary. CoinCash's new license allows it to offer a range of services, including custody and exchange services.
The EU's MiCA regulation has been effective since December 2024, providing a standardized framework for crypto-asset service providers across member states. This development is seen as indicative of Hungary's more favorable stance towards the crypto industry, potentially making it a more attractive hub for digital assets in Europe.
