Hunter Biden Enters Crypto Scene with Meme Coin LAPTOP Launch

Hunter Biden is diving into the crypto world with his own meme coin called LAPTOP. Launching on September 9, this token will be hosted on Base Network, a platform built by Coinbase Global.

The coin's supply will be one billion tokens, split between various groups. Hunter Biden and the founding team will hold 30% of the tokens, locked for six months and fully available after two years.

A further 20% of the supply will go to people who lost money on TRUMP, a meme coin linked to President Trump. Tokens will also be distributed to subscribers of Biden's newsletter and a mailing list run by journalist Andrew Callaghan.

The remaining tokens will fund charity, cover legal and accounting costs, and support trading liquidity through exchange partners.

A burn plan is in place, allowing up to 30% of the token supply to be destroyed under certain conditions. These include a Democratic win in the 2028 presidential election or bitcoin reaching a new all-time high price.
