Hunter Biden Launches LAPTOP Meme Coin Targeting TRUMP Holders
Hunter Biden is launching a meme coin called LAPTOP on September 9th. The project will be listed on Base, an Ethereum layer-2 network created by Coinbase in 2023.
The name LAPTOP references the laptop at the center of a controversy surrounding Joe Biden's presidential campaign in 2019. Hunter Biden is personally involved with the founding team and owns 30% of the token's supply, which will be locked for six months and then gradually released over two years.
The project plans to burn 30% of the supply based on certain criteria, including Bitcoin reaching a new all-time high or a Democrat winning the 2028 election. Another 20% will go towards charity donations, liquidity, and payments to exchange partners and market makers.
The most attention-grabbing aspect of the project is its plan for two rounds of airdrops - free token giveaways to specific wallets. Eligibility extends to subscribers of Hunter Biden's Substack and members of Andrew Callaghan's Channel 5 mailing list, as well as traders who lost money on TRUMP, President Donald Trump's own meme coin.
