Hunter Biden Launches LAPTOP Meme Coin with $1 Billion Supply
Hunter Biden is launching his own meme coin called LAPTOP on the Base blockchain. The token takes its name from the laptop he left at a repair shop in 2019, which was a major point of controversy before the 2020 US presidential election.
The total supply of LAPTOP tokens is set at 1 billion. Biden and other founders have been allocated 30% of that supply, which will be locked from sale for six months and vest over two years. Another 20% will be distributed in two airdrop rounds to wallets that lost money on the Official Trump (TRUMP) meme coin, to Biden's Substack subscribers, and to a mailing list run by his friend Andrew Callaghan.
The remaining 30% of LAPTOP's supply is tied to a burn mechanism based on specific outcomes. Those include a Democratic win in the 2028 presidential election, Bitcoin (BTC) reaching a new all-time high, and LAPTOP's fully diluted value exceeding TRUMP's market cap.
