Hunter Biden Launches LAPTOP Meme Coin with Airdrop for TRUMP Coin Losers
Hunter Biden is set to launch a new meme coin called LAPTOP on the Base blockchain. The token will mint a supply of 1 billion tokens, with founders, including Biden, holding 30% of that supply.
The remaining 70% of the supply is allocated as follows: 30% is linked to specific prediction market events and would be burned if certain conditions are met; 20% is set aside for operational costs such as charity donations and exchange partnerships.
The rest of the supply is reserved for two rounds of token airdrops, with eligible recipients including subscribers to Biden's Substack newsletter and members of a mailing list run by Andrew Callaghan. A portion of the airdrop will also be dedicated to traders who lost money on TRUMP coin.
TRUMP coin investors who are holding at a loss may receive an airdrop of LAPTOP tokens, with some 30% of the supply going to those affected. However, entities tied to the Trump Organization control 80% of TRUMP's supply under a multi-year vesting arrangement.
Crypto researcher 'ultra' has expressed skepticism about the project, pointing out that the actual token structure differs from what was initially circulated online and that the day-one airdrop will go straight to Biden's Substack and Channel 5 subscribers, not TRUMP holders.
