Hunter Biden Launches LAPTOP Meme Coin with Airdrop for TRUMP Losers
Hunter Biden's latest project is a meme coin called LAPTOP, set to launch on Coinbase's Base network on September 9. The token is named after the laptop tied to a 2020 election controversy, and it will reserve 20% of its supply for airdrops, including wallets that lost money on Donald Trump's TRUMP coin.
The total supply of LAPTOP is 1 billion, with the founding team taking 30%, locked for six months and then released over about two years. Another 20% is split across two airdrop rounds covering wallets underwater on TRUMP, Biden's Substack subscribers, and a mailing list run by video journalist Andrew Callaghan.
Before its official launch, more than a dozen counterfeit LAPTOP tokens appeared on various chains, changing hands for roughly $6.9 million combined. These fake tokens did not have an official contract address because none had been published.
