Hunter Biden, son of former President Joe Biden, is reportedly launching his own meme coin inspired by his infamous laptop. The laptop was at the center of controversy during the 2020 election after it was seized by the FBI in April 2019. It contained emails, documents, and financial records, as well as explicit photos.
Biden has been vocal about his public grievances, including the laptop, on social media platforms like X. He wrote that prosecutors did not find evidence of corruption or any crime beyond drug use related to the laptop's contents. Biden has also expressed his support for digital currencies and called for Congress to understand their value.
Biden's cryptocurrency will trade on Base, which was created by Coinbase Global. This move comes after President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump launched a pair of meme coins in January 2025, reaping $1 billion in gains for themselves while most investors lost money.
