Hunter Biden Launches Meme Coin Inspired by Infamous Laptop
Hunter Biden is reportedly launching a meme coin called '$LAPTOP', inspired by his infamous laptop that made headlines in the run-up to the 2020 presidential election. The laptop, which contained emails, documents, and financial records, was seized by the FBI after it was dropped off at a computer repair shop in Delaware in April 2019.
Biden has been vocal on social media about his public grievances, including the controversy surrounding the laptop. In June, he wrote that prosecutors did not find evidence pertaining to corruption or any crime beyond that related to drug use.
The new cryptocurrency will trade on Base, a platform created by Coinbase Global. Biden has expressed support for digital currencies and called decentralized digital currency 'the inevitable future.'
