Hunter Biden Unveils LAPTOP Memecoin Targeting Trump Holders
Hunter Biden is launching a memecoin called LAPTOP, which will target investors who hold President Donald Trump's Official Trump token, or TRUMP. The planned supply of LAPTOP tokens is one billion, with 20% allocated to Substack subscribers, mailing-list members, and investors who hold TRUMP.
The project's founders will control 30% of the total token supply, while a separate 30% has been allocated for conditional token burns tied to specific events. These include a Democrat winning the U.S. presidency in 2028, Bitcoin reaching another all-time high, and LAPTOP's fully diluted valuation exceeding that of TRUMP.
Hunter Biden has become more outspoken about digital assets since his father left office in January 2025, combining support for blockchain technology with criticism of the Trump family's crypto businesses. The planned LAPTOP launch puts Biden directly into the same political-crypto market he has criticized, which could draw scrutiny over whether political figures and their relatives should issue or promote tokens tied to their names.
