Hunter Biden's memecoin, LAPTOP, launched on Base and immediately crashed to 99.6% below its peak price of $199.51 on September 9. The token dropped from its all-time high to a low of $0.7234 on September 10 after an opening session marked by extreme price swings and thin liquidity.

Despite the volatility, early traders experienced different outcomes depending on when they entered the market. One wallet lost over $190,000 in value while another made a profit of over $1 million.

The project's tokenomics allocate 35% of the supply to community distributions, with 30% going to founders and 5% directly to charity. The founder tokens, including Biden's allocation, are locked for six months before vesting monthly over the following 24 months.
