Hunter Biden's LAPTOP Token Crashes 99% in Explosive Price Plunge
Hunter Biden's cryptocurrency project, LAPTOP, has experienced a sharp crash after its rollout on the Base blockchain. The token initially rose to as high as $199 but plummeted to around $3.70, with losses reaching an astonishing 99%. Hunter Biden denied claims that the project was a rug pull, stating that demand exceeded supply and technical problems caused multiple price movements.
The team's tokens remain locked, according to Hunter, and he personally has not earned any revenue from the project. However, on-chain analysts disputed this explanation, pointing out suspicious fund movements during the three hours before the rollout. Two sales wallets cashed out a combined $2.23 million, while two bot wallets entered liquidity at the second opening involving $716,000.
Despite Hunter's claims that the token has stabilized at a healthy level, analysts estimated that verified profits connected to the suspicious transactions amount to around $4 million, with the overall figure potentially reaching between $5 to $10 million. The controversy has also garnered attention from Trump's family, with Eric Trump mocking Hunter Biden's token crash on X.
