Hunter Biden's Memecoin LAPTOP Launches September 9th
Hunter Biden, son of former US President Joe Biden, is launching his own memecoin project called LAPTOP. The token will be launched on September 9th on the Ethereum Layer-2 network Base, developed by Coinbase.
LAPTOP was inspired by Hunter Biden's laptop controversy in 2020, where leaked messages from the computer sparked a prolonged debate in US politics.
The project has some notable features, including a token burning mechanism tied to specific political and financial events. If certain conditions are met, up to 30% of the total supply could be burned.
