Hunter Biden's Son Launches Memecoin Project LAPTOP, Tied to Token Burning Mechanism

Hunter Biden, son of former US President Joe Biden, is launching his own memecoin project called LAPTOP. The token will be launched on September 9th on the Ethereum Layer-2 network Base, developed by Coinbase.

LAPTOP is a reference to Hunter Biden's laptop, which was leaked in 2020 and became a subject of prolonged debate in US politics.

The project aims to reward users who lost money on Donald Trump's TRUMP memecoin, as well as Hunter Biden's Substack subscribers and members of an email list created by video journalist Andrew Callaghan. Twenty percent of the total supply will be distributed to these groups.

The founders, including Hunter Biden, will retain 30% of the total supply, with a vesting period of two years. A token burning mechanism is tied to specific political and financial events, which could burn up to 30% of the total supply if certain conditions are met.
